Reporting to the Director of Tax, you will be working with a team to manage US Tax Compliance for Perseus Group and to ensure our US Corporate taxation processes are adhering to industry best practices and compliance.
What Your Impact Will Be
· Preparation/ review of US federal and state corporate income tax returns and work-papers for the group.
· Preparation/ review of US tax accounting workbooks as part of our quarterly financial reporting process.
· Assist with the preparation of estimates, extensions, cash tax projections and planning.
· Prepare tax workpapers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
· Ensure that all compliance projects are thoroughly reviewed before they reach to the director, and the applicable checklists and procedures have been followed.
· Manage and coordinate tax audits if any.
· Communication with Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities
· Participate in tax due diligence as it relates to our US based acquisitions as needed.
· Assist with integration of US acquisitions.
· Being part of a team to determine the most relevant US corporate structure for tax purposes.
· Researching and advising on various US corporate tax matters
· Various other US corporate tax projects
What We Are Looking For
· 5+ years of experience working within the US tax function of a large corporation or a public accounting firm.
· Experience with US tax preparation software (OneSource) in connection with US federal, state and local corporate income tax filings.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
· Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent work quality.
· Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, or specialization in tax.
· Good working knowledge and understanding of US Tax accounting principles and U.S. tax system.
· Appropriate relevant designation or nearing completion of designation requirements (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) is preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written & verbal communication.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and accounting applications like Great Plains.
