One of the fastest-growing firms in Connecticut is seeking a Tax Manager/Director to join our team. With locations in Shelton, Bethel, and Norwalk, we are an employee-centric firm made up of experienced tax and accounting professionals. We have built a culture of empowerment, accountability, and wide-ranging expertise, utilizing the latest technology to streamline our workflow and enhance client services. This role offers a potential partnership track.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage, prepare, and review complex individual, partnership, corporate, estate, trust, and gift tax returns
Perform and review tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals
Conduct tax and accounting research with research tools and communicate findings to partners or clients
Build and manage strong business client relationships, including running engagements
Draft and review responses to tax notices from various federal and state tax agencies
Manage a team of tax professionals
What You’ll Bring:
7+ years of experience in a public accounting firm
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or a related field
CPA license is a plus
Experience with CCH programs is a plus
Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and related software
Professional and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work well within a team
Experience in training, developing, mentoring, and managing staff
High levels of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality
Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative spirit
