Responsibilities
As a Permanent Tax Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and monitoring tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. This exciting role involves:
1. Overseeing the delivery of a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations.
2. Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
3. Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns.
4. Identifying and mitigating tax risks.
5. Managing tax provision and tax compliance processes.
6. Improving processes by developing or implementing best practices.
7. Managing and coordinating tax audits.
8. Preparing all tax paperwork in accordance with regulations and deadlines.
9. Providing effective tax planning strategies to clients in various industries.
10. Working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.
11. Supervising and mentoring junior staff members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting and a proven track record of success. Specific qualifications include:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
2. CPA certification or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience.
4. Proficient in ccorp, estates, partnership, trust, S Corp, corporations, and tax accounting.
5. Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
6. Knowledge of tax software and MS Office.
7. Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
8. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
9. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
10. Analytical skills with detail orientation.
