Position: Tax Manager
Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Base Salary: $120k to $170k Benefits/Bonus

Our client, a well-established CPA firm in Farmington Hills, Michigan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This firm specializes in providing expert tax, accounting, and advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including businesses, individuals, and trusts. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990, 1041)
• Mentor and train junior staff members
• Collaborate on client engagements to ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Develop tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships, delivering high-quality service
• Stay current on tax regulations, implementing changes as necessary
• Work closely with cross-functional teams on tax and accounting matters
• Supervise the preparation of digital workpapers and tax returns using CCH Axcess
• Ensure quality control standards and adherence to deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred)
• 4-6 years of recent experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and review
• Familiarity with tax software (CCH Axcess or CCH Prosystems preferred)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
