We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Tax Manager to join our thriving Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to handle diverse tax-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, specifically within the tax sector. This position will play a critical role in our company's financial operations and strategy, providing expert tax advice, ensuring tax compliance, and managing tax planning initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations under sections 3315 and 481(a).
- Provide expert guidance on S Corp and C Corp tax matters.
- Prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statement purposes.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Manage and coordinate tax audits.
- Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
- Stay abreast of current developments in tax laws and market trends to ensure company's compliance and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax payments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the finance industry.
- 1-3 years’ public accounting experience is essential.
- Proven experience with tax returns, tax preparation, tax compliance, and tax planning.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly sections 3315 and 481(a), and S Corp and C Corp tax matters.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
