Group Management Services is looking to hire a full time Payroll Tax Manager.

Primary Responsibilities of the Payroll Tax Manager:
- Supervise and direct all activities within the Tax department to minimize risk to the company and customer base by completing timely and accurate transactions and providing outstanding support to clients.
- Cultivate excellent working relationships with Federal, State and Local taxing authorities to maintain up to date knowledge of regulations and issues.
- Research any new taxes and add to the tax system.
- Coordinate collection and payment of unpaid tax liabilities.
- Handle Covid-19 ERTC audit coordination with IRS.
- Prepare the necessary reports to the auditing firm for the federal and state tax assertions that all quarterly taxes have been paid.
- Assist in review of potential mergers and acquisitions.
- Work with the VP to organize annual Tax Summit.
- Coordinate periodic department meetings and conduct monthly employee reviews.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Compensation, Benefits and Perks that come with employment here at GMS:
- Salary Range between $90,000-$120,000 commensurate with experience

Qualifications for this role:
- Education - Bachelor's Degree required; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience - 8-10 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Skills - Excellent customer service and organizational skills; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Requirements - Must be available for extended hours during key tax periods (quarter/year-end); May also not take more than two consecutive days off in January, April, July, and October without approval.
