We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Tax Manager to join our team in the finance industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating tax strategy, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns and planning for future tax activities. This position requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the company's tax policies and objectives.
2. Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal tax laws and regulations.
3. Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
4. Conduct tax research, interpret tax laws, and provide advice on tax-related issues.
5. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profitability.
6. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
7. Provide guidance and support in handling tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
8. Stay updated with the latest developments in tax laws and regulations.
9. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.
10. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to junior staff members.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, Master's degree in Taxation or a related field will be highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager role, preferably in the finance industry.
3. In-depth knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Proficiency in tax preparation, tax compliance, and tax planning.
5. Extensive experience in corporate tax, tax returns, tax research, and tax accounting.
6. Familiarity with real estate tax and tax advisory.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. High level of integrity and professionalism.
