The firm is looking for a Tax Manager to collaborate with team members in providing tax compliance, consulting, and wealth management services to high-net-worth families, individuals, and their related entities. The Tax Manager will contribute to the team's efforts across all client activities, including compliance, planning, and the efficient execution of tax projects. This role also involves developing tax planning strategies for potential clients and recommending additional services where appropriate. The Tax Manager will work closely with the National Tax Director and financial advisors across the firm to address clients' tax needs. The firm is looking for a Tax Manager to collaborate with team members in providing tax compliance, consulting, and wealth management services to high-net-worth families, individuals, and their related entities. The Tax Manager will contribute to the team's efforts across all client activities, including compliance, planning, and the efficient execution of tax projects. This role also involves developing tax planning strategies for potential clients and recommending additional services where appropriate. The Tax Manager will work closely with the National Tax Director and financial advisors across the firm to address clients' tax needs. This position, managed by the national tax team, will serve clients on a nationwide basis. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
- Regularly meets and communicates with clients and potential clients.
- Engages and collaborates with other advisors, such as attorneys, CPAs, and various professionals, to service shared clients.
- Oversees coordination of tax services for clients, both within the company and with external partners.
- Researches and analyzes compliance and planning questions related to tax, using available resources.
- Keeps up-to-date on tax legislation and educates the tax team and colleagues on new developments.
- Resolves complex client issues using sound judgment and experience.
- Maintains and updates client files and records as needed.
- Manages the team and reviews reports and client data for accuracy.
- Reviews deliverables such as tax returns, tax projections, and estimated tax payment calculations.
- Actively participates in virtual meetings with colleagues and clients.
- Builds an internal network to enhance team efficiency and promote tax services.
- Provides leadership and coaching to senior associates, associates, interns, and other employees, including troubleshooting tax software issues.
- Actively seeks and applies feedback and coaching.
- Travels occasionally for on-site meetings and collaboration as needed.
- Focuses on technology with opportunities to develop and improve tax processes.
Requirements:
- Must be a CPA.
- Must have at least 6 years of experience in tax at a public accounting firm.
