We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our thriving Finance team. This role is pivotal in managing our organization's tax operations and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for our tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws while also ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all tax returns. The role involves a significant level of responsibility and requires a professional with a strong background in tax, property, and finance.

1. Manage and oversee all aspects of tax and related requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
2. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
3. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
4. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's tax strategies are optimized.
5. Manage the preparation and review of tax returns and coordinate audits.
6. Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure the organization meets its tax obligations in a timely manner.
7. Provide expert advice on property related tax matters and manage property tax compliance.
8. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team.
9. Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize the overall tax burden of the organization.
10. Collaborate with management to provide guidance and support on business planning and strategies.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or tax accountant role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of tax law and federal, state, and local tax codes.
4. Proven experience with property tax and tax compliance.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound recommendations.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
9. Strong understanding of tax coding, tax treatment, and tax law interpretation.
10. Proficient in tax software and MS Office Suite.
