Tax Manager - Tandym

A professional services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their growing team as a Tax Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Manage staff on engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, tax returns, work papers, etc.)
• Complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budget
• Handle all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
• Assist with new client development in partnership with upper management
• Participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development and meet individual cross serve
• Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects
• Develop overall engagement budget
• Handle billing and realization on assigned clients and explain variances
• Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting or related field
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, and/or a related field
• CPA or parts passed
• Knowledge of High Net Worth Tax and related Entities, Trusts etc.
  Previous experience in a Supervisory role
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Solid analytical and mathematical skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
