Job Details
We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our reputable firm in the finance industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating tax planning, advisory, and compliance activities to ensure our clienteles financial efficiency. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the preparation and review of individual and corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
2. Plan, execute, and lead tax research projects, analyzing and interpreting tax regulations, and providing advisory services to the management.
3. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that align with the company's business objectives and financial goals.
4. Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely tax provision and disclosures in the financial statements.
5. Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or JD is highly desirable.
2. 5+ years of progressive experience in tax management, preferably in the finance industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns especially as it relates to trust tax returns.
4. Proficiency in CCH Pro Systems tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing tax team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly to non-tax professionals.
8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make sound and timely decisions.
10. Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and changes in tax laws and regulations.
