Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our client. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a vital role in our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our company's tax planning, research, returns, and estate tax. 1. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
2. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
3. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
4. Conduct complex tax research and report findings and recommendations to senior management.
5. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
6. Manage all aspects of the estate tax planning.
7. Evaluate current tax strategies and propose changes as necessary to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
8. Assist in financial planning and analysis.
9. Continually assess our internal controls within the tax process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
10. Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area and provide tax training to finance staff.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA designation is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
3. Solid understanding of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
4. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
5. Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
6. Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
9. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce high-quality results by agreed deadlines.
10. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
11. Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
