Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Record Maintenance: Prepare and maintain accurate tax records for statutory filings.
- State Tax Compliance: Develop work papers and schedules to support state tax modifications and update state documentation for filings.
- ASC 740 Compliance: Assist with the preparation of ASC 740 state provision calculations and update company reporting to reflect changes for ASC 740 and extension purposes.
- Tax Reconciliations: Review general ledger tax account reconciliations for accuracy.
- Sales & Use Tax Reporting: Manage the company’s sales and use tax reporting obligations.
- Quarterly Tax Filings: Support the preparation of quarterly tax estimates and extension filings.
- Tax Inquiries: Prepare responses to tax inquiries from various stakeholders.
- State Tax Research: Lead research into state-related tax positions and provide insights.
- Process Improvement: Devise and implement system and process improvements related to tax operations.
- Tax Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to identify and capitalize on tax planning opportunities.
- System Implementation: Manage the implementation of new tax-related systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate tax management or a related field.
- CPA is preferred
- Mix of prior public accounting experience specializing in corporate tax
- Strong proficiency in tax accounting systems, including Excel and mid to large ERP systems.
Salary: $105,000-$130,000 + Bonus + Excellent employee benefits
