This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in our fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting. Experience with Quickbooks is a must. The Tax/Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing our company's tax planning, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns, and managing our accounting team. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax/Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in our fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting. Experience with Quickbooks is a must. The Tax/Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing our company's tax planning, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns, and managing our accounting team. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure all payments are completed on time (including accounts payable and bank deposits).
- Coordinate with our IT team to manage financial systems and to ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree is a plus.
- CPA certification is required or plan for CPA exam.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software such as Quickbooks.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Analytical skills with detail orientation.
