Effective Jan 1, 2024, employees are expected to work at their assigned office a minimum of two days per week
In the event that this is not geographically reasonable, you may work in the office closest to your home. Additionally, we expect employees to participate in required firm events/meeting (e.g., trainings, team bonding, client meetings, etc.)As a Manager in our Tax service line, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Provide top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, flow through entities, corporations, and trusts; also reviews related income tax workpapersWork closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements and work flow supervision Research complex technical tax issues and provides solutions Lead and train teams of seniors and staff accountants throughout the engagementEnsure quality of work productCommunicate progress to partners and is the liaison between partners and staffCoach and mentor individual team members and involved in performance evaluationsManagement responsibilities also include firm administrative functions and initiatives such as client billingsTo be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need:Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plusCPA certificateA minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceProficient in the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other similar flow-through entities and high net-worth individualsStrong organizational and management skillsExcellent written, oral communication and documentation skillsAbility to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issuesDemonstrated advanced project management skillsAbility to utilize firm technology to enhance client serviceExcellent research & analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong team player with emphasis on the continued growth and development of team membersProficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs; Working knowledge of GoSystem a plusYou Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.Visit the Benefits section to learn moreThis salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs
