Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all tax operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, including 1040 individual returns, s-corps, c-corps, and partnership returns.
- Conduct thorough tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and ensure maximum profitability.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies and policies that align with business objectives.
- Provide expert tax advisory services to the senior management team, offering insights, recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, ensuring all tax-related issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Keep abreast of the latest tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization is fully compliant and capitalizing on any potential tax benefits.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tax management, preferably within the finance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Strong experience in tax research and planning, with a proven ability to minimize tax liability and maximize profitability.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-finance professionals.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A strong commitment to integrity and professionalism, with a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
