The Tax Preparer plays a crucial role in helping individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of tax regulations. As a key member of our finance team, the Tax Preparer is responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Gather and analyze financial information provided by clients.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liability.
Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations.
Review financial records to identify potential deductions and credits.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding their tax situations.
Resolve any tax discrepancies and issues with tax authorities.
Maintain confidentiality and security of client information.
Provide guidance on tax-related inquiries and concerns.
Develop and implement efficient tax preparation processes.
File necessary extensions for clients who require them.
Assist clients with IRS audits and inquiries.
Collaborate with other finance team members on related projects.
Prepare financial statements as needed for tax purposes.
Educate clients on the importance of record-keeping and tax documentation.
Participate in continuing education to improve skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or relevant role.
In-depth understanding of tax law and practices.
Ability to use tax preparation software effectively.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid Tax Preparer license or certification preferred.
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Previous experience working with diverse clientele.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
