Job Details
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct thorough research on tax issues, staying updated on changes in tax law, and provide guidance on complex tax matters to clients and internal team members.
- Identify tax savings and opportunities for clients, offering recommendations for effective tax planning strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and analyze financial data, identifying potential risks and developing proactive solutions.
- Participate in tax audits by preparing documentation, liaising with authorities, and advising clients on best practices to minimize liabilities.
- Mentor and support junior staff, assisting with technical questions and fostering a collaborative learning environment within the team.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc tax-related tasks as needed, including business planning, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all applicable tax regulations and deadlines.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance technical knowledge and keep abreast of evolving tax regulations and industry standards.
