About the Job
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated CPA or Enrolled Agent to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in providing comprehensive accounting services, including tax preparations, consulting, financial reporting, and auditing to their client base. You will work closely with clients to help them meet their financial objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
During tax season, this role will be onsite to support client needs efficiently, while outside of tax season, we offer a flexible remote/hybrid work arrangement to maintain a strong work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS). Assist clients in understanding their financial health and identifying areas for improvement.
- Tax Preparation: Provide expert tax planning and preparation services for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws while identifying tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Auditing: Lead or assist in audits of financial statements for clients across various industries. Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for process improvements to enhance financial transparency and accountability.
- Consulting: Offer strategic financial advice and consulting services, including budgeting, cash flow analysis, business structuring, and financial forecasting. Help clients optimize their financial operations and achieve long-term success.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and by providing top-tier service. Understand client needs and provide solutions that are tailored to their specific financial and tax situations.
- Compliance & Advisory: Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and accounting standards to advise clients on compliance and emerging financial trends. Provide guidance during tax audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including junior accountants and tax preparers, to ensure timely and accurate completion of client deliverables. Provide mentorship and training to less experienced team members.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and auditing standards
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or other ERP systems)
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients in a clear, concise manner
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
