ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Tax Senior Manager specializing in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) group here at Anchin is responsible for leading the tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning functions specific to the AEC industry. This role involves developing and implementing tax strategies, managing tax risks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. The Tax Senior Manager will provide leadership to the tax team, work closely with senior management, and serve as a key advisor on tax-related matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary:
- Lead the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns specific to the AEC industry.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including industry-specific tax issues.
- Oversee tax audits, including preparing documentation and liaising with tax authorities.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures for the AEC group.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related financial information and maintain comprehensive records of all tax filings and transactions.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions for AEC projects.
- Identify and leverage tax incentives and credits applicable to the AEC industry while monitoring and analyzing tax legislation and its impact on the AEC clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals specializing in the AEC group.
- Provide training and support to ensure the team's professional growth and high performance and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in tax, with a focus on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Proven experience in managing tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning functions within the AEC industry.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $160,000 to $220,000 based on individual's experience level.
