Marcum LLP is seeking a PCS Senior for our growing and well established International Tax (iTax) team in either our NYC or Miami office. The position will be performing 1040/PCS responsibilities within our iTax team, therefore, an interest in iTax is required (experience in iTax is not required).

This position requires a high energy, experienced tax professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individuals/ 1040s with some exposure to trusts, estates, gift taxes
• Interact closely with clients year round to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services in a timely manner.
• Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines, and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.
• Train and mentor lighter level associates.

Qualifications

• Must be a CPA (or passed all four parts) and/or licensed EA
• BS and/or Masters in Accounting or Taxation
• 3+ years solid tax experience in the HNW area.
• 2+ years experience in prep of Individual/1040s with some experience preferred in Partnership, Trust, S-Corps, and gift tax returns
• 1-2 years review experience in all the above (or a combination of above)
• Proficient with tax software
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Superb communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Able to problem solve and think both creatively and logically.
• Strong tax research skills and self review
