We are a Fort Washington-area Tax firm w/ about 30 employees and more clients than we can handle, so we are seeking a 0-2 year Staff Tax Accountant to jumpstart their career and hopefully stay a long time and grow into management!

Job Title: Staff Tax Accountant
Overview:
Join our laid back/fun team, a leading tax advisory firm serving high net-worth individuals (HNWIs), partnerships, and small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area (Montgomery County). This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level professional with 0-3 years of experience to kick-start their career in tax accounting. As a Staff Tax Accountant, you'll work alongside seasoned professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment, gaining hands-on experience in tax compliance, preparation, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Assist in the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, small businesses, and other entities, under the guidance of senior team members.
Compile and organize client financial data, supporting documents, and tax schedules for accurate and timely completion of tax filings.
Review tax forms for completeness and accuracy, identifying discrepancies and seeking clarification as needed to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Client Support and Communication:
Collaborate with team members to address client inquiries, requests, and concerns related to tax filings, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax concepts, and provide exceptional service throughout the engagement process.
Build positive relationships with clients by delivering high-quality work, demonstrating professionalism, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct basic tax research on relevant tax laws, regulations, and rulings to support tax compliance and planning efforts.
Analyze client financial data and tax documents to identify potential tax deductions, credits, and opportunities for tax savings.
Prepare working papers, tax memos, and other documentation to support tax positions and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Professional Development:
Participate in training sessions, seminars, and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills, tax knowledge, and industry expertise.
Seek guidance and feedback from senior team members to continuously improve performance, expand knowledge, and grow professionally within the firm.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards to maintain proficiency and adapt to evolving client needs and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
0-3 years of experience in accounting, tax preparation, or related field; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
Basic understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
