Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supervising staff, including development of team goals, staff professional development, hiring process, preparing/drafting Functional Job Descriptions (FJDs) and/or performance plans, and/or conducting performance reviews.
Experience using wiring diagrams, schematics, or engineered drawings, and/or troubleshooting or repairing electrical fixtures or electronic equipment.
Experience developing and maintaining purchase plans/equipment replacement plans for monitoring systems or laboratory equipment and/or purchasing supplies or equipment and developing written specifications.
Experience preparing, organizing, presenting, and/or communicating technical information, both verbally and in writing.
HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING...
Supervise staff and resources on the Network Support Team of the Monitoring Division at the TCEQ.
Plan and coordinate team activities; assign, distribute, and oversee the work of staff; advises management of significant team issues; and assist with maintaining the Sections budget and developing purchase plans and requests.
Oversee the Equipment Support Work Group and Inventory Store Specialists, including oversight of day-to-day activities of employees responsible for maintenance and repair of technical air monitoring equipment and employees responsible for maintaining the warehouse and division vehicles.
Provide highly advanced technical assistance to agency personnel regarding air monitoring programs. Works with customers to provide high level consultation services regarding federal and state requirements for air monitoring networks.
Represent the Division in meetings and public functions, provide information and promotes the coordination of unit activities with customers.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
