Teacher Aide Columbia College Apprenticeship Initiative - The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc.

Requirement: Current enrollment in ECE course work and / or active participant and successful completion in the Columbia College Apprenticeship Initiative

Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor or Teacher, the Teacher Aide Apprentice is responsible for assisting in the operation of their classroom in accordance with all applicable policies, regulations, standards and meeting requirements.

Part-Time Position: 20 hours per week Monday Friday

Salary Range: $15.00

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

Current enrollment in ECE course work and / or active participant and successful completion in the Columbia College Apprenticeship Initiative

Special Requirements:

Criminal background clearance as required by licensing agency

Current Health Screening, proof of current negative TB test, COVID vaccine, immunizations required by Community Care Licensing and current influenza shot.

Valid California Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage

Willingness to work irregular hours, attend night meetings, and travel as required by the organization

Expected Outcomes:

Have the ability to utilize positive redirection and basic classroom management skills

Recognize and implement Active Supervision Strategies

Progress in obtaining Teacher level Child Development Permit

Obtain the ability to understand the differences and similarities of Infant/Toddler Care and Preschool

Understanding basic regulations set forth by Community Care Licensing, Performance Standards, and State and Local regulations
