Teacher's Aide - FurstStaffing

FurstStaffing is seeking a Teacher's Aide for a local charter school in Rockford. The Teachers' aide will support classroom teachers by assisting with instruction and clerical tasks. In the classroom, teacher aide responsibilities may include working with students who need additional instruction, preparing materials and equipment for activities, and discussing students' progress with their teacher.
Must have 60 college credit hours completed or passed the PARA test.
$16-$18/hour depending on experience.
The Teachers Aide will be responsible for the flowing job functions:

• Provides support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment.
• Assists the teacher in planning and preparation for daily activities, aids instructional efforts of the teacher.
• Assists the teacher in preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curricula in assigned areas.
• Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aids for use in classroom, including activity sheets, drawings, and similar handouts.
• Presents subject matter to children or adults, under the guidance of a teacher, utilizing a variety of methods including stories, discussions, and role playing.
• Leads classroom activities; may confer with parents on children's progress in the absence of the teacher.
• Assists children or adults, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Tutoring reading or math classes
• Assist with lunch and recess
• Attend filed trips

The Teacher Aide must possess the following skills, qualifications, and traits:

• 60 college credit hours or passed the PARA test
• Work history with children
• Provide a supportive and caring environment for children
