Teaching Assistant 2 - $17.78 hr ($18.67 for Bi-Lingual)
Head Start provides a free preschool education to children ages three to five years old in a nurturing learning environment that includes parents as important resources for their children's learning. We focus on the "whole child" and include as part of our program the child's educational, health, family, and social needs. Our Teaching Assistant 2 helps our teachers prepare the classroom, work with small groups of children, monitor group activities and assist our team in the maintenance of a developmentally-appropriate and safe environment.

5% pay adder bi-lingual English/Spanish
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required and a CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) or documentation of current enrollment in a program that will lead to an associate's or baccalaureate degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Bilingual English/Spanish and previous Head Start experience highly preferred.
College transcripts and/or proof of enrollment must be provided at the time of application or prior to job offer to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. In addition, must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, Food Handlers certification, First Aid and CPR certification, health verification form, and enrollment in Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry.
