The Enterprise Payments Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of associates conducting the accurate, timely, and compliant calculation and processing of rebates, administrative fees and other payments, in accordance with contractual obligations to Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), acute care hospitals and surgery centers, on behalf of multiple J&J operating companies. The Team Lead will also be responsible for reviewing the Payments calculated by assigned analysts and addressing tactical and strategic payment processes to ensure team alignment with all applicable Guidance Documents, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular communication, coaching/feedback, and payment- or system-related guidance to Enterprise Payments team members.
- Demonstrate a customer-centric focus, communicating effectively with internal/external business partners, troubleshoot issues of varying complexity, and follow up where needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements and projects to drive operational efficiencies and increase effectiveness of the team.
- Develop user requirements and perform business/user testing for system changes, new business transitions and new payment strategies.
- Lead the team in consolidation of team metrics, assignments due, charge-out, and other deliverables, as required.
- Develop, run, and analyze required and ad-hoc Payment reports for customers, field sales organization, and senior leadership.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree or certification preferred.
Required:
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Ability to analyze & interpret large amounts of data, conduct impact and trending analysis, and summarize results for recommendation.
- Business experience in Contracting, Audit, Finance, or a related area preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Experience leading or mentoring individuals or teams.
- Solid understanding of all phases of the contract continuum and business processes.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal and external partners and to influence and collaborate.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively consolidate and present information to business partners and management.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail, to effectively manage conflicting priorities, due dates, and results.
- Project management skills/experience or certification.
- This position will be located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic or international travel.
