Position Summary
The Team Lead provides day to day leadership to the team. The Team Lead will work directly with the team members to ensure patient information and documentation are processed in timely manner.

The Team Lead provides day to day leadership to the team. The Team Lead will work directly with the team members to ensure patient information and documentation are processed in timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead, Mentor and Train members of the team to include intake coordinators, insurance authorizations coordinators, and other any other specific job roles within the regional team
- Review cases to ensure benefits checks, orders, and notes are correct. Answer questions and train team members
- Perform initial case review of all open cases on team
- Manage day to day activities of the team
- Review and approve all orders and upgrades for the team
- Attend weekly status meetings with Regional Managers. Communicate daily regarding patients, office updates and policy changes
- Cover for other Team Leads and team members in their absences. This includes benefits checks, reviewing notes, creating documents, provider follow ups and creating authorizations
- Interview candidates for the team. Approve PTO, perform 90 day and annual reviews, and all other supervisory duties for team members
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, as well as lead weekly team meetings
- Willing to support all members of the team, including field staff.
- Comply with all HIPAA and privacy regulations
- Adhere to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with patients and patient data
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Microsoft Office experience, minimum of one year required
- Data entry skills, minimum of one year required
- Basic medical terminology, minimum of one year required
- Excellent telephone skills, minimum of one year required
- Verbal and written communication skills, required
- Able to work in a team environment, required
- Medical documentation review, minimum of one year required
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, required
- Attention to detail, required
- Critical thinking skills, required
- Previous prior authorization experience, preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health insurance, preferred
- Prior management experience, preferred

- Must be able to work onsite at our corporate headquarters in Maryland Heights, MO
- Must be able to work in an office setting, use a computer, keyboard and mouse for the majority of the shift and be able to communicate on the telephone
- Must be able to work the scheduled 8 hour shift Monday-Friday
- Work from home is available at supervisors discretion and as business needs allow, in accordance with the BioTAB Work From Home Policy
