REPORTS TO: Site Superintendent & Maintenance/ Production Manager/ Gen. Manager
SUPERVISES: Packers, operators, material handlers and others appointed by the Managers
BASIC FUNCTION: As a Team Leader you are responsible that all personnel will perform to provide Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP involvement. You will be responsible for the efficiency, quality, safety, performance and product process for the lines you are assigned. Follow housekeeping guidelines and confirm that all personnel are following their Job Description.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- When you report to work, you will ensure that you are in proper uniform as prescribed by Zenith dress code, GMP’s and have all required tools and needed equipment.
- Monitors plant policies, safety procedures and environmental regulations are upheld.
- Required to conduct quality inspections with packer as instructed. Logs results.
- Identifies problems in a quick manner to keep scrap at a minimum. Reports to proper department and follow up for process to confirm back to standards.
- Reports any machinery concerns and problems, discusses with Department Manager/
- General Manager.
- Follows SOP for maintaining safe and clean environment for Food Grade Product.
- Monitors quality to the highest degree during production and final inspection.
- Documents all QA checks and performs all needed tests on product. Control to standards.
- Monitors and maintains accurate operator records, forklift checklists, shift production
- reports.
- Works as a team to assist in monitoring product, makes boxes, apply labels, inspects finished product, and relieves for breaks and lunches as needed.
- Able to work alone and as a team member. Attends and leads shift meetings.
- Training of quality documents, SOP’s, production schedule, raw materials and procedures.
- Practices Lock Out / Tag Out safety procedures. All personnel to follow.
- Attends training programs for onsite or offsite as directed by management.
- Maintains a clean, safe, organized working area before and after shift is complete.
- Works overtime as needed for companies’ objectives. Supports team needs.
- Be available to work after hours, weekends and holidays based on production schedule.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned if needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1-2 years Supervision and quality assurance experience. Good communications skills, planning, organizing, scheduling and monitoring the machines capabilities. Safety and Security Consciousness. Must be able to handle required lifting weight of 50 pounds. Frequent bending and twisting movements are required as is standing for the duration of your shift.
