Position Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of 10-20 production associates, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and quality standards. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Coach and train team member to ensure alignment of performance management practices with company policies and goals.
- Production Oversight: Monitor and manage the production processes to ensure timely and accurate manufacturing of medical devices. Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, engineering, and logistics to streamline production workflows.
- Training and Development: Train new team members on production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality control measures. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of team members.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Report production status, challenges, and achievements to higher management.
Performance Objectives:
Within your first 60 days:
- Complete all Applied Learning foundational courses with a passing grade of 95% or above, demonstrating rapid integration into company processes.
- Review process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Shadow experienced team members to observe and learn about day-to-day operations and learn the production processes.
- Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) training encompassing both practical, hands-on experience and computer-based instruction.
- Observe, interact, and build relationships with the team.
Within 90 days to one year:
- Successfully lead the pre-shift meeting by clearly communicating the day's production goals, safety reminders, and key priorities, ensuring that all team members were well-informed and aligned.
- Build relationships with cross functional teams such as Facilities, Planning, Engineering, and other critical teams.
- Become the subject matter expert and liaison between all teams.
- Absorb direct reports and its responsibilities, complete reviews, and provide consistent feedback.
- Demonstrate knowledge of KPIs and drive improvement projects.
Position Requirements:
- Must be avaialble to work either a 1st shift (5:00 am-1:30 pm) or 2nd shift (1:00 pm-9:30 pm).
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Read, write, and speak in English.
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds often.
- Ability to work in clean rooms and lab environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Applicants should have two to three years of experience in leadership roles.
- Experience leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the production process.
