Team Operations Manager Opportunity Summary
As a Team Operations Manager at W.W. Williams, you will direct and guide the activities of all off-highway service jobs to ensure the appropriate quantity and quality of unit/equipment repairs. Monitors specific performance indicators to make sure the customer experience exceeds expectations while running a safe and efficient department.
Job Duties:
- Manages the field service process by providing oversight and support to the Service Coordination Supervisors by assigning technicians to incoming jobs based on skills, abilities, and availability. Monitors the operations dashboard of all jobs being performed in the field (or in the shop as needed) to ensure that problems are dealt with efficiently as soon as discovered and notifies the Service Coordination Supervisors with all the necessary information so contact with customers can occur promptly.
- Oversees the overall field and shop efficiencies for problem areas, counseling the Service Coordination Supervisors regularly to support the service process.
- Evaluates the skills and abilities of Service Coordination Supervisors, Service Estimators, and Project Managers (Special Projects) and discuss their progress with them regularly. Makes training available to them to keep them current with new technology and for career advancement within the Service Department. Assist the Service Coordination Supervisor with technician performance reviews and interviewing of technicians.
- Supports the Service Coordination Supervisors with maintaining detailed status reports on the computer on all open jobs.
- Verifies all work performed and documented on the field reports to be of the highest quality.
- Provides support and coaching to the Service Coordination Supervisors and Service Estimators to ensure that the customer's expectation of cost and timeframe has been set appropriately for the completed repair.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of W.W. Williams-owned equipment and vehicles, including DOT truck files and coordination of utilization of equipment between branches.
- Provides oversight and guidance to ensure that a safe working environment is being maintained by complying with all EPA and OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety meetings, quickly reporting, and repairing any EPA, OSHA, or Williams' policy violations, and taking any other action necessary to prevent injury.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supervisory Experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
