Title: Teammate Relations Advisor
Location: Denver, CO 80202
Duration: 2 months
Shift: 1st M-F
Duties:
This position is an integral member of the Teammate (Employee) Relations team within our Legal Department for assigned segments of the business, acting as an advisor for teammates, managers, People Services Managers (PSMs) and others. This position is accountable for providing response and consultation regarding teammate relations, questions and concerns. This position reports to the Teammate Relations Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply policies, employment law, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, coaching and clarification for teammate relations and policy questions; staying current on employment laws and policies
Respond to, and if appropriate, escalate general teammate relations issues received from all levels of teammates
Maintain required documentation within case management system (Ethics Point/Workday/Spot), including intake, investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports
Resolve teammate relations issues, including: gathering and analyzing evidence, applying relevant laws, policies and past practices to reach appropriate outcomes
Provide guidance, assisting with development and delivery of appropriate feedback, including Performance Improvement Plans or other corrective/disciplinary actions
Provide consultation, support, guidance and coaching to managers and others to address teammate behavior and performance concerns
Coach and advise managers on how to resolve low risk employee disagreements, conflicts or misunderstandings, escalating to appropriate PS contact as needed
Escalate high risk and sensitive teammate relations issues, using judgment to determine when to escalate issues and cases
Work directly with Investigators and Labor and Employment attorneys as appropriate. Providing research and support for complex and high-level investigations and/or assist with responses to third-party EEOC, and other governmental charges and requests as well as threatened litigation.
Partner with PSMs and the business on as-needed basis, keeping appropriate parties informed and involved.
Skills:
Experience
Two (2) or more years of HR experience with employee relations responsibility (preferred)
Large multi-site company experience preferred
Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) in Human Resources (preferred)
