Tech Dialysis I | IP Dialysis | Day - UF Health

Overview:Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or Physician, initiates and discontinues dialysis. The Technician Dialysis I also assists with ancillary duties as directed.Qualifications:Age of Patients Served:Adult (18-64 years)Geriatric (=>65 years)Required Education:High School Diploma or GED.Necessary Skills:1. Ability to function in a high-volume, stressful patient care environment utilizing. 2. Excellent customer service and communication skills.Required Licensure/Certifications:-BLS Certification (American Heart Association)-Dialysis Technician Certification (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved state certification program or a national commercially available certification program) required within 18 months of hire or transfer into the position.-EMT licensure may be substituted for two years of clinical dialysis experienceRequired Experience:Two (2) years clinical dialysis experience.
