Desktop Support Specialist - Weekend
3 month plus contract role
Jacksonville, FL - Onsite
Work week: Fri - Mon 10 hour days or Thur - Mon 8 hour days
Overview:
Our client, a major Retail & Manufacturing company is looking for seasoned client-oriented Desktop Technician
This role is within a team of people responsible for divisional operations managing systems, enterprise operations focused on the private cloud, IP networks, workstations/laptops, telecommunications, information security, data center facilities, applications, and service management.
Activities
The Desktop Technicians will provide hardware/software support across the entire office.
They will work collaboratively with other groups within the infrastructure group to determine resolutions to problems and/or issues as they arise, and will join a team of 10.
They will also be pre-migration to Windows 10 support as well as post migration support.
In-depth knowledge of applications including Productivity tools (Microsoft Office 2013, Office 365, etc.).
They need to possess well-developed verbal communications skills.
Keen listening skills, with the emphasis on content and context and are expected to build credibility and confidence with clients.
Demonstrated ability to diffuse potential volatile situations as well as provide an articulate, measured and succinct response to a client's problem.
Ability to effectively manage client's expectation.
Well-developed writing skills; including client documentation & communications, descriptions of problems and issues, along with documenting the solutions.

** Key duties **
- Environment: Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10 MS Office Suite
- Experience with installations, configurations
- Imaging experience (specifically with SCCM) would be helpful
- Exposure to Mac environments
- Some AV support
- Working knowledge of Bomgar, Remote Desktop, command shell, etc.
- Knowledge of Dell, Client, Apple PC and peripherals patching and repair.
- Experience troubleshooting MS Windows 7 / Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Internet Connectivity, and virus issues.
- Basic expertise with software scripting, packaging deployment and asset management.
- Ability to repair & replace Windows and Mac hardware.
- Knowledge of Windows 7, 10, Mac OS, AirWatch, ActiveRoleServer, Windows deployment tool, Office 2016, O365.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to keep up with multiple tasks
- Client facing experience - strong customer service skills, and ability to take ownership of issues through completion
- Ability to work with limited direction
- Strong communications skills
