Technical Accounting Manager

Dallas, TX (Remote, but must be local)
The Technical Accounting Manager supports the company’s external reporting results in line with general accepted accounting principles. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining GAAP and SEC knowledge as well applying such to write memo’s and guide the accounting team on complex accounting topics. Critical to succeed in this position is the ability to display a high level of problem solving, prioritization, sense of urgency, quick turnaround, adaptability, and the ability to support diverse projects/problems.
Responsibilities
Writing technical memo’s
10Q reviews quarterly and 10K reviews annually
Responding to requests from ELY and internal TG
Assisting with preparing footnotes and MD&A
Communicating guidance to team through meetings
Completing GAAP update document
Continuous improvement projects
Other Projects
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
CPA required
Must be a CPA with 4+ years of relevant experience including 3+ years of proven ability of working with teams
3+ years public accounting experience preferred
Solid understanding of revenue recognition, leasing, business combination and other technical pronouncements required
Ability and willingness to work extra hours to complete objectives required
High energy and enthusiasm, with a strong commitment to exceeding expectations required
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with colleagues required
Strong organizational and time management skills required
Intermediate/Advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Access
Ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues
Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business questions and needs
Experience using GAAP and SEC research tools
Team player with desire to be part of a fun and rapidly growing company
Flexibility to work on a variety of assignments, projects, or roles
Ability to learn quickly, make an immediate impact, and provide value-added service
