Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical accounting guidance on contracts, revenue recognition, leases, derivatives, VIE assessments, impairment analysis, acquisitions, divestitures, and new accounting standards.
- Lead projects and conduct research on complex accounting issues, with a strong focus on lease accounting.
- Mentor and develop Technical Accounting and Corporate Accounting team members to enhance their understanding of technical accounting reviews.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization, promoting the company's core values and team behaviors.
- Collaborate proactively with external auditors to ensure timely resolution of technical accounting matters.
- Simplify and communicate complex accounting topics to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders to ensure clarity and understanding.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical accounting research experience and a proven track record of writing detailed accounting memos.
- Excellent ability to communicate technical accounting conclusions effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team and engage with various stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with technical research tools.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Desired Skills:
- Lease Accounting Experience: Knowledge and experience with ASC 842 is a plus.
- Software Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and Power BI is preferred.
