Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable standards.
- Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements and their impact on financial reporting.
- Support the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and changes in reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process by preparing documentation and supporting audit requests.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, preparing necessary adjustments.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses related to technical accounting issues.
- Assist in developing and refining accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical accounting or a related role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex accounting concepts clearly.
