Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills | Technical Lead/Analyst in Mainframe Systems |
Roles and responsibility | 1. Good Knowledge and Experience in all the SDLC Life cycle 2. Interacts with client business team to gather business requirements 3. Develops business cases for new system capabilities and assist in business case developement/definition for other systems and projects. 4. Develops creative solutions to the complex business problems and communicate with the business partners and other customers to solve business problems to deliver the required solutions. 5. Design and develop requirements for new functionalities 6. Come up with application performance improvement ideas/suggestions and implement the same 7. Prepare documentation for client review. Conduct reviews meeting to discuss findings, risks & challenges and recommends the solutions. 8. Writes and/or revises program documentation, application operational procedures and client user guides in accordance with Client / TCS guidelines 9. Designs the systems test requirements to ensure fail safe integration of a program into a production system 10. Supports customer satisfaction process by taking accountability and addressing their concerns/ issues 11. Provides accurate estimates of work effort for client project 12. Guide/ Mentor other team members in terms of Technical and cooperate with them in meeting project deadlines and deliveries |
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills | Strong experience and a good understanding of Mainframe technologies like DB2,Cobol,JCL,IMS DC Performs data analysis and exploration to find gaps between business requirements and what is in the actual data. Ability to explain the gaps and where possible provide alternate solutions. Must have a good knowledge of stored procedures. Time Management Multi-tasking Ability Analytical Ability Communications (Listening, Persuasiveness, Oral, Written) Leadership (Impact, Involvement, Change Management) People skills (Team Orientation, Judgment, Interpersonal Relations, Results/Goal Orientation, Resiliency/Adaptability) Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Project MPP. At least 5-6 years full systems life cycle experience including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, requirements specifications, detail design, program specifications, coding and unit/system testing. |
