About the Job
· Communication and Collaboration:
o Serve as a primary point of contact for technical communications across various departments and agencies.
o Facilitate collaboration between diverse teams to ensure project cohesion and efficient execution.
o Foster a strong, communicative culture across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Reporting:
o Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Enterprise Architect and other executive stakeholders.
o Ensure transparency of project status, highlighting risks, challenges, and successes.
· Cross-Departmental Work:
o Collaborate closely with multiple departments and agencies to understand their business needs.
o Design and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly across the organization, aligning with overall strategic goals.
· Technology Expertise:
o Leverage a diverse technology background to adapt to new tools, platforms, and innovations.
o Promote the use of cutting-edge technologies, especially in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.
o Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their potential within the organization.
· Project Management:
o Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring projects adhere to defined phases, gates, and quality standards.
o Bring all teams into a unified vision, ensuring consistency, transparency, and clarity in project objectives and outcomes.
o Manage resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure project success.
o Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps methodologies.
o Provide IT operational support and align with enterprise architecture best practices.
o Maintain proficiency in cloud technologies, including architecture, deployment, and management across leading cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Requirements
· Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a technical management or architectural role, preferably within a large organization or public sector agency.
· Strong track record of managing complex, cross-functional technology projects with successful outcomes.
· Hands-on experience in cloud architecture, enterprise IT operations, and modern software development practices.
· Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and apply them to real-world scenarios.
· Strong advocate for technology-driven innovation and process improvement.
· Strong problem-solving skills, focused on delivering effective and scalable solutions.
Minimum Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field.
Required Certifications:
· None required; SAFe, Agile, and Technical Certifications preferred
Other:
· Must be local to Northern Virginia with the ability to be onsite in Fairfax in a hybrid working arrangement.
