THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WEST SACRAMENTO CA.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide technical support for the Power System Division by performing the following duties.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Evaluate, take appropriate action and file all technical information
- Coordinate completion of all Caterpillar machine updates (Generators, Transfer Switch, Swith Gear and other Power System Equipment), as described in service letters
- Responsible for Failure Analysis
- Provide technical support to all material handling employees and others as necessary
- Provide technical support and information to customers
- Perform technical inspections
- Assist field service mechanics on repairs in the field
- Act as a liaison between Holt of California and Caterpillar and other manufacturers
- Assistance with training of service personnel
- Gather factual and statistical data for investigation of product problems
- Develop, set standards, implement and maintain quality control systems for MHD
- Provide quality control training
- Perform instructor training for individuals
- Use NPR to locate correct parts and group numbers
- Attend warranty meetings/training classes
- Process and close warranty work orders
- Enter and edit SIMS, complaint, cause, and correction data accurately
- Ensure hour meter readings, serial numbers, and warranty type codes are entered accurately
- Ensure all warranty work orders are closed in allotted time frames
- Assist and advise mechanics on proper form of data entry
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years Caterpillar related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must have capability of working on a computer terminal or personal computer.
- Must be a self starter and have the ability to set priorities on a regular basis.
- Maintain maximum productivity in a technical environment.
- Ability to deal effectively with customers, sales staff and service personnel.
- Must have Caterpillar Equipment knowledge.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Computer experience necessary.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid class C driver’s license and a clean DMV report.

COMPENSATIONS
Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 Annually
Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability.
Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
