Position typically requires a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, business and a minimum five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated expertise in evaluating technical documents to determine the needed level and depth of edit based on multiple factors, including length, complexity, structure, and deadline.
You must have experience performing a variety of levels of edit, ranging from basic copy to substantive editing, on highly specialized technical documents and procedures.
Summary:Responsible for a wide variety of internal and external communications activities, strategic and tactical, conceptual and deliverable. Attains measurable results and improves continuously.
An experienced professional with a full understanding of specialized area plus working knowledge of related fields. Adept at solving a range of complex problems. Must learn to provide effective feedback to others, upward and downward.In this role, you will be embedded within a specific Laboratory organization to provide technical editing services to subject matter experts, managers, and leaders. You will edit existing technical material and assist in document preparation. The successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, with initiative and the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight turnaround times.
