Technical Instructor - Yorktown Systems Group

Summary

Yorktown Systems Group is currently seeking a Technical Instructor. The technical instructors provide support for the Transportation School mission of training Army personnel. Instructors will provide safe, cost effective hands-on, simulation training, and motor vehicle operator/driver support and provide the force with Soldiers who otherwise would not be trained at the projected level of skill.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct simulator and technical based training on the various subjects described in paragraphs below.
• Transport personnel and cargo, support and participate in non-tactical convoys, field training exercises and other POI training support.
• Technical Instructors shall conduct specific training for the 88M AIT Course utilizing simulators, classroom training and performance training on HEMTT- PLS/LHS and M915/M872 Tractor-Semitrailer Combination truck.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of US Army PMCS Procedures and Processes
• Work experience with US Army Motor Transport Operations
• Possess 1 year experience teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or other industrial establishment, Military Occupational Specialty 88M10 or civilian equivalent
• Instructor experience in a military environment
• Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Proficient with MS office computer programs
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal & nonverbal)
• Minimum education level is a high school graduate or a GED
• CFD-IC certified or ability to obtain CFD-IC Certification
• ISCTC certified or the ability to obtain certification

Desired Qualifications: Prior service as an 88M Motor Transport Operator is preferred.

Clearance: Must pass a Tier 1 investigation that has been favorably adjudicated by the DoD CAF (or locally) for CAC eligibility and network access (IT-3 access for government.mil email account).
