Technical Marketing (Network) Engineer Intern
The Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) Intern shall be a key member of HPE Aruba Networking's "Wireless, Branch and Location Services" Technical Marketing Engineering team and will work on gaining technical expertise on Aruba's products and technologies.
The TME Intern will be working in one of HPE's Bay Area office facilities during the summer internship program.
Responsibilities:
- Work with technical experts across a range of Aruba product and functional areas, including but not limited to 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7), 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6, 6E), 802.11e/i/k/r/v and emerging IEEE standards, wireless security including firewalls and WIDS/WIPS, access points and gateways, IoT, SD-WAN, location services (Wi-Fi and BLE), and other networking and cloud services relevant to Enterprise solutions and campus/branch/remote deployments.
- Bring up network topologies and validate Aruba solutions in a lab environment.
- Develop and publish technical collateral, including producing or reviewing technical application notes, and configuration and design guides; and assisting in curriculum and training development when required.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations for System Engineers, customers and partners.
- Develop UI/automation tools in the TME lab
Required Skills:
- Pursuing a BS or MS with courses and/or projects relevant to computer networks
- Understanding of networking technologies and protocols including switching and routing
- Good communication skills and ability to develop and deliver technical presentations
- Comfortable presenting in front of sales teams, customers and partners
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel projects to deadline
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of 802.11 standards and wireless technologies is desirable
- Well recognized industry certifications like ACA, ACMA, CWNA or CCNA
