JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP seeks a Technical Operations Specialist to join its Information Technology department. This role assists both IT Operations and Knowledge Services staff through Exchange and Virtual server support as well as email and printer maintenance and support in its Omaha office. This position is ideal for an IT Professional who possesses attention to detail, experience in maintaining organizational servers, excellent communications skills, and enjoys working in a collegial and collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide second tier Help Desk support by fielding incoming help requests from end users and the help desk via telephone and email in a courteous manner
- Document help desk requests in tracking program
- Assist the server administrator with virtual servers
- Assist the email administrator with email adds, moves and changes as well as Exchange server maintenance and working with Proofpoint
- Maintain email group lists with the adds, moves, and changes
- Maintain the RightFax system
- Support Microsoft Azure and Intune App for users
- Maintain physical key fob system
- Maintain printer systems with replacements, setups, and moves
- Assists with email routing and routing rules
- Troubleshooting quarantined e-mail
- Maintain email documentation
- Renew SSL certificates to keep email transmission and email systems secure
- Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge and ability in installing, integrating, upgrading, and providing technical support for a variety of client/server applications in a Windows environment
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in filtering email for spam and malicious content at email gateways
- Knowledge and understanding of basic computer hardware
- Knowledge and understanding of Storage Area Networks
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot business printer issues
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to provide upper tier troubleshooting and support to all layers of an organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
- Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- 3+ Years experience in email administration, exchange, and/or application support for Microsoft products
- 3+ Years experience in server support and maintenance, experience with Cisco and HP Server hardware a plus
Position Information
Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 per year commensurate with experience
Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3:2, with the ability to be in office as needed
Work Conditions: Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components. Ability to transport and move moderately heavy objects (25-50lbs), such as computers and peripherals.
