About this Position:
Supply Chain Operations Regional Technical Lead will serve as the technical expert, collaborating with Local SCO sites to understand and develop One-way Best Way guidelines in support of mitigating the risk of Safety, Downtime and GDP impacts resulting from our North American 3rd Party Logistics Service providers by overseeing the collaboration of all sites working toward common tool and method approaches for determining manpower, evaluating changepoints, performing new model duties and leading projects.
The Technical Operations Lead will drive direction, provide leadership, and support to Local Supply Chain Operations sites, through researching, developing, executing, and supporting business plan initiatives and future BEV strategies. They will network with business partners outside their core department to break down barriers, linking members and stakeholders for greater output.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direction, leadership, and support to Local Supply Chain Operation Units and 3rd Party Logistics Service providers to identify, develop, and execute critical projects, Business Plan initiatives, Process tool analysis, New model evaluations tools, and SCO guidelines. Create ‘One Way Best Way’ across Supply Chain Operations and enhance efficiency and effectiveness through continuous improvement
- Provide direction and leadership to Local Supply Chain Operation Units and 3rd Party Logistics Service providers to support New Model changepoints, innovating Supply Chain Operation processes to build and launch BEV production and promoting automation to shift manpower dependency.
- Regional lead for Global Standard deployment. Primary regional evaluator for NA projects requiring Global/Regional evaluations to occur. Drive transfer of BEV knowledge between facilities during Honda’s business electrification process.
- Support associate onboarding and development activities to improve knowledge of Supply Chain Operations within SCM Division.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years of related experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred), or equivalent experience

- Critical problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven, able to seek out feedback and demonstrates ability to learn and expand outside assigned area. Ability to prioritize tasks / projects in order of importance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Project management experience or capability. Ability to lead meetings, Unit and Division Level themes. Good presentation skills. Solid organizational skills.
- Good understanding of Supply Chain Operations, including parts flow, logistics, and returns flow from a New Model and Production aspect.
