Flex is seeking a Technical Product Owner who will play a crucial role in the development and management of our patient engagement solution suite. In this role, you will be working with key architects, engineers and business partners to ensure that business, quality and functional goals are met with each release.
Job Summary
In this role (hybrid to the Alpharetta, GA office), you will provide technical insight and guidance to ensure feasibility and technical soundness of product development, with stability and scale in mind. You will work with key stakeholders and the development team to drive to a solution that meets business objectives and vision, working closely with the development team to resolve technical issues and challenges. You will define acceptance criteria for user stories, identify MVP features and support the development teams in building working software. You will also develop use cases, prioritize stories, epics, etc. to ensure development work is focused on those with maximum value. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is obviously required as well as experience with SAFe is desired.
Responsibilities
Set product/platform priorities, aligning them with business priorities and strategic vision
Develop comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and manage the product backlog to prioritize features effectively.
Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure technical projects are delivered efficiently and align with business goals.
Collaborate with customer success teams to address and resolve technical issues and challenges.
Communicate technical aspects of the roadmap, progress and changes.
Manage cross-product risks and interdependencies
Conduct User Acceptance Testing to validate product features and functionality before release.
Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business and customer needs to solutions that can feed into the backlog.
Promote agile methodologies and scrum practices within the team, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring alignment with agile best practices.
Manage beta programs and work closely with customers to validate functionality and quality.
Qualifications
Ability to solve complex problems with many constraints and translate them into actionable tasks
Effective communication and influencing skills with both business and engineering partners, including the ability to present well-structured, data-supported arguments
Experience using modern methods for product strategy, continuous discovery, and delivery
Expertise in Scrum and Agile software development within a product environment
Strong understanding of software architectures, technologies and tools (e.g., cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, data warehouses, etc.)
Adaptability to learn various business functional areas such as engineering, operations, customer service, or dev-ops
Proven ability to craft detailed user stories, manage product backlogs, and define epics that align with business objectives.
Experience leading User Acceptance Testing and working closely with development teams in an agile environment.
Strong communication skills, with the capability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
At least 5 years specifically working on technology-powered products as Technical Product Owner or Product Manager
Certification in Agile Product Ownership or Scrum Master.
