Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution
- Lead end-to-end project management for AVD deployment initiatives, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Technical Expertise:
- Leverage your experience in AVD deployment to provide technical guidance and insights throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of AVD solutions.
- Change Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing organizational change related to AVD deployment.
- Identify and address potential resistance to change, ensuring a smooth transition for end-users and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Facilitate regular meetings to update project teams and stakeholders on progress and upcoming milestones.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate project risks by implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Proactively address challenges and roadblocks to keep the project on track.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality of AVD deployments by implementing best practices and conducting thorough testing and validation processes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high standards.
- Documentation:
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and technical specifications.
- Ensure that documentation is clear, comprehensive, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Training and Support:
- Develop training programs to educate end-users and support teams on AVD deployment changes.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a focus on AVD deployment and organization change management.
- Strong understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and associated technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in change management, with a focus on guiding organizations through technology adoption.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with other Microsoft Azure services.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles.
- Previous experience in large-scale organizational change initiatives.
