Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented Technical Project Manager in the Technology department with Credit Product Knowledge who will be responsible managing and overseeing technology projects that support the middle office operations. This role requires a deep understanding of credit products, strong project management capabilities, and experience within the middle office of financial services. The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating complex projects, ensuring they align with business objectives, and driving the successful implementation of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Oversee, lead and manage technology projects within the middle office, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and/or review detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives. Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope and budget.
• Ensure adherence to the Project Management framework. Train and educate the team as needed.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Assist project team in identifying risks, issues and path to green scenarios.
• Lead project review processes, including ROIs and After-Action Review.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with business units, technology teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Create decks communicating programs or project progress, including risk, issues and etc.

Technical Expertise:

• Apply in-depth knowledge of credit products to guide project decisions and implementation.
• Ensure that technology solutions meet the needs of middle office functions, including trade processing, risk management, and reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to credit products and middle office operations.

Risk and Issue Management:

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Track and resolve project issues promptly to avoid delays and ensure project success.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk logs and issue trackers.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership:

• Provide direction to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Guide and support team members in communicating status.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources and manage project budgets.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager within the financial services industry, particularly in the middle office.
• Strong understanding of credit products and middle office operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technology projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with financial software and systems used in middle office operations.
