Technical Project Manager - Team Red Dog

Our client, a world-renowned organization, is looking for a Technical Project Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on quantum computing and hardware solutions, contributing to cutting-edge projects in collaboration with a U.S. government agency, DARPA. • 2-4 years' experience with hardware, firmware, or software project management
• 2-4 years' experience/understanding of test and measurement equipment
• 2-4 years of hardware product development experience

Opportunity Overview:

The Technical Project Manager will oversee and manage hardware and software development projects, including supporting government programs with the U.S. DARPA agency. The role will involve coordinating with hardware development teams, managing program schedules, and providing documentation and specifications for testing and measurement systems related to quantum devices. You’ll ensure smooth operations in a highly technical environment and drive the successful delivery of projects within defined timelines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop, track, and manage project budgets, timelines, and scope
• Manage program schedules and documentation, including requirement specs, architecture specs, and test plans
• Support test and measurement of quantum device systems, ensuring upgrades and bug triage are handled efficiently
• Lead internal meetings with hardware development teams and other stakeholders
• Implement process improvements and provide project management support for hardware and test measurement equipment
• Partner closely with functional project teams to define requirements and engineering development plans
• Ensure that project management processes are being followed throughout all phases of project development

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering)
• 2-4 years' experience as a project manager or R&D engineering manager
• Proven project management experience in hardware development or related fields
• Familiarity with ADO and experience using standard tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Project
• Strong communication and people management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Proven ability to assess risks and apply project management principles to deliver technology solutions
