Technical Project Manager
Location: Smithfield RI
Duration: 6 Months Plus Contract
Rate: DOE

Job Description:
- Responsible for the meeting project targets for a data movement initiative. Dealing with Web applications, and analytics, along with API's, and performing the bulk of the scripting work. Experience with Impala, HIVE, SQL or other similar technologies scripting is required.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing and monitoring work efforts via daily stand-ups.
- Track and manage scope, budget, resources and timelines for small, large and complex initiatives.
- Communicate project plan information, objectives and deliverables to the team.
- Strong group facilitation and negotiation skills are a must for this role.
- Ensure communication and coordination across track delivery leads.
- Resolve issues/escalate as required
- Partner and collaborate closely with matrix-ed FI Reporting Product Team to implement the product strategy and road-map.
- Foster teamwork and spirit of collaboration and commitment within the project team.
- Facilitate builds in accordance with the release calendar.
- Experience with migrating technical capabilities to the cloud
- Experience with Big Data projects (Oracle/Hadoop/Spark/Hive)
- Person must be technical, we do not want someone who is just manages tasks (prior development experience would be very helpful)
- Scrum Master experience required
- Experience with other financial services clients preferred.

- The candidates will be measured based on:
- Technical exposure related to Big Data migration experience.
- Communication skills (they must be able to articulate in detail their prior experience and have the
- ability to influence decisions among their peers).
- Depth of their Project Management experience with Big Data/Migration initiatives.
